| 6 | When James Cameron married his third wife, Pearl Boone, in 1915, one of their witnesses was James’ daughter, Luetta Buchanan. She and Pearl were nearly the same age and became life-long friends. After Laura died, James had asked Pearl to be his housekeeper and babysitter. Pearl's father, Kenny Boone, thought that it would be unseemly for a young single woman to be in the same household as an older, unmarried man. He would permit the move only if Pearl and James were married.
